Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just
as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...

Sire: Ch Derby's Xcalibur Tug O War
Dam: Ch Derby's Simply Bewitching

- April 29, 2004 to May 11, 2009
- My pride and joy, Adam, will never have seizures again....He went to The
- Rainbow Bridge at 1:35pm today.....
- Adam went into a Status Epilepticus seizure on Friday night and
- continued with Clusters all weekend - the Phenobarb and Valium could
- no longer control his seizures. Today, they wanted to put him into
- an induced coma to stop his seizing , but I just could not put him through any more.
- When I got to the hospital today, Adam looked up at me as if to say "enough is
- enough, please let me go". I held him as tight as I could when they gave him the shot...and I am
- really sure he said "thank you mom".....................
- Adam will be truly missed by me, my family and his many friends....but he will remain in our hearts forever.

Luna began as a sweet, somewhat shy pup. In the 3 1/2 years she was with us, she had grown into a confident, very social and gentle Swissie. Our favorite place to go was Carmel Beach. She had many good friends there, human and canine alike. Her beach buddies were always happy to see Luna show up. We miss all of her silly swissiness, the laughs she provided us with, the love and comfort that she gave us. Our time with her was way too short, she will always be missed.
Luna will never have a seizure again......

It's with a very heavy heart that we have to relay the news that on May 30th, our "first born" Swissy Copper lost his battle with Epilepsy. Copper fought the good fight for almost three years and we truly believe that he was sticking around those last few months because of his loyalty and devotion to our family. A true Swissy!
He brought a lot of joy to our family and all those around him. His most special bond was with our son Dylan. Fortunately, Dylan is not quite old enough to be truly sad about this loss but it rips your heart out when he asks "Where's DD?" (DD was his nickname for the big guy.) Well, DD is a shining star now for Dylan keeping a watchful eye forever on him and our family. Dylan told us he came to him in a dream and sat on our roof - still a Swissy, still watching over.
We'll miss him more than words can express. Hug your Swissies for us.
